Family Inn Bakery and Deli was founded by Leroy M. Brown. Mr. Brown was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and has lived in the West Baltimore area most of his life. After graduating from Federick Douglas Senior High School, he attended Coppin State College.

He worked as a youth supervisor for the City of Baltimore for a number of years while using his free time to bake cakes and pies at his local church. One of his most fulfilling accomplishments was serving as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 521 at Ames Methodist Church. Mr. Brown was placed in charge of the annual bake sale for his Troop.

He now lives in the Sandtown Winchester area and attends Ames United Methodist Church. He is the proud father of three daughters, grandfather to two boys and husband to Ms. Annie Brown.
